Policy Revision

Policy Revision :-

1) Policy Review Cycle

The institution recognizes the importance of periodically revising research policies to ensure their continued relevance, effectiveness, and alignment with the evolving needs and goals of the institution. The review cycle shall include the following steps:

  1. Timeframe: Policies shall be reviewed within a predetermined timeframe, typically on an annual or biennial basis, to allow systematic and timely updates.
  2. Policy Review Committee: A dedicated Policy Review Committee shall be constituted, comprising faculty members, researchers, administrators, and legal/compliance experts. This committee shall oversee the review process, ensuring fairness, transparency, and integrity.
  3. Documentation and Tracking: A comprehensive record of all research policies shall be maintained, including review dates, revisions made, and the rationale for changes. This documentation will support transparency, accountability, and ease of future reference.

2) Policy Revision and Approval

The institution shall follow a structured and participatory process to revise and update research policies, with overall responsibility entrusted to the R&D Cell. The process includes the following stages:

  1. Policy Proposal: Any member of the institution may propose a policy revision based on identified needs, emerging trends, or stakeholder feedback. The proposal must include a clear justification for the suggested changes.
  2. Internal Review: The Policy Review Committee shall conduct an internal assessment of the proposed revision, examining its feasibility, potential impact, and compliance with institutional regulations and best practices.
  3. Stakeholder Consultation: Input shall be sought from relevant stakeholders, including faculty, researchers, administrators, and legal/compliance experts. This ensures that multiple perspectives are considered and that the revised policy is inclusive and effective.
  4. Approval and Adoption: Once finalized, the revised policy shall undergo a formal approval process through the Research Committee, Academic Council, and Executive Management. Upon approval, the updated policy shall be officially adopted and implemented.
